I went for a short ride yesterday and took a few pictures. I posted them in "Let's see your CB1100 Out On The Road". Other folks who went for rides yesterday posted their pictures in "What Did You Do On or To Your CB Today?" Still others posted about their day's ride in "Today's Weather".
I certainly do not want to cross-post to 2 or more threads nor do I want to look at 2 or 3 different threads for these daily "check ins". I don't think they should be "Seat Time" reports as those seem to be for longer, more detailed, ride reports.
Would the powers that be consider consolidating these threads or creating a new topic that would be THE spot to post a few photos from your day's ride, maybe a short report about the ride, and/or things you did to your bike, along with any weather discussion? Not sure what the title would be, but something that conveyed that this is the spot to post a quick note about your motorcycling day.
Feel free to delete this if'n you think it's not worthy of further discussion.

If it is possible to consolidate these myriad strands into a common thread, perhaps it could be renamed "Daily Doin's" or "Daily Ride & Reflections."

I like this too. Another thing I've seen on other forums is a "pictures only no commentary" thread. Could be an idea, though I guess it's kinda crappy not to be able to reply to people's picture posts.

interesting idea. Let me give it some thought but originally they were meant to be separate..pics of your CB should be just that. Weather should be about the weather, and ride reports are for that. Kinda confusing huh? Wasn't so hard when there was 11 of us lol

Another forum I'm on has a thread called 'A picture from your ride' which is used for exactly this purpose.

Sometimes people post more than one. That's OK, I reckon. People do that here too if they have a couple of good ones.

No kidding, eh?
I can appreciate the sentiments behind EmptySea's suggestion. But honestly, I think that if we went in and tried to address this issue via thread consolidation it would just be a matter of time before some new threads popped up that would start to consume a good amount of the forum bandwidth on their own ultimately replacing those that we merged together. Human nature being what it is and all that.
