Well, they want people to look at the image- so almost interchangeable.
They like the bike because of the image they believe it portrays of themselves...and people who feel that need tend to push 'attitude' online and in real life. Not everyone of course- and this is common for much more than just motorcycles.
Just for fun- I wonder if there are any model specific Honda Rune forums- and if so, what is the demeanor there? Equally a very stylized bike- I guess if anything from a google picture it appears more ride-able and surprisingly similar weights if the sites I glanced at are correct. The Fury looks like it should be MUCH lighter...

For the older (and original) CB 4's there is an SOHC forum, tons of technical knowledge there about the older bikes. Good group of people.

I'm not picking on the Fury here; you could insert any other vehicle, I guess.
I guess some may like the Fury for the "image", but I, at 74 years old, have no interest in presenting a "cool, chopper-riding type" image. I just think it's a "pretty" bike with the added benefit of Honda reliability. As I said in my original post in this thread, I sold my Harley Wide Glide to buy this Fury.

decarmine, I don't think anyone was suggesting you bought it for image. I certainly wasn't. I was responding to PowerDubs earlier post which was misunderstood by some in which he suggested that the Fury is a bike that may appeal to a number of people for image reasons and that this can translate to poor behaviour on forums.

I understand that. I agree some may buy for image. I chose your post to reply to simply because, I believe, you stated more succinctly what others had said.
And misterP's suggestion to check VTX forums, since the Fury shares the power train of the VTX1300, is a good one...
