Here in Brampton/Ontario (most expensive), for my 2014 CB with full M since 2016 (backed by 2 moto courses, liability, theft and fire only, multiple insurance with 20% discount), I pay $860. Insurance did not take into account my European experience. Sure, we have more traffic, accidents, idiot riders/drivers here and make more money in ON than in NS...

yeah...and also in heavy populated areas, insurance harvests the highest premium ...if reckless driver insurance skyrocket, one will NOT buy it, therefore has to be spread more evenly among others ....politic$ = money

When I lived in San Diego I put 10 to 12k a year on my bikes. Now that I'm in northern California its about half that.

Me too -- I rode about 20k/year when I lived there. Now, living at 8000' where we only have about four months of decent riding weather, I feel fortunate to get in half that. Some years, it's less.
