Surprisingly warm. And once the sun and wind had dried the roads, it was time to take a couple of the bikes out for short runs.
- First, the old 1991 BMW R100GS got its turn. I didn't like running down the full tank of 91 octane/stabilized fuel for 35 miles, but did it anyway! She hadn't been started for a month, and this old carb'd bike struggled to start. But once there, she ran fine, and reminded me once again why I throw $$ at this old bike, to keep her on the road.
2014 CB1100. A pleasure to ride, now that I've softened up the front and rear suspension (Ikons on rear/RaceTech valving and springs on the front.) I think my 3rd year of ownership upcoming might just be the year this bike earns its keep in the garage. Feeling much nicer with over 6000 miles on the odometer, too. Only enough miles to warm things up today.
The Guzzi didn't make it into today's short runs.

Similar weather experience here in southern Ontario. It stayed pretty damp on the side roads, but the main and freeways were bone dry. Local road xmas traffic was hideous, so I exercised the beast on the freeway for only about half an hour. It was enough, thrilling and satisfying. No speeding tickets. A good day. Got to about 14C (quite warm) around 3 pm.
My biggest beef with today's short stint was the sun in the west. It was a glare problem that was a hard fight.

I've given up on Photobucket, and haven't picked a new hosting site. Is there a way ( like I do on the WildGuzzi site) to post pics without having to first post them to a photo hosting site, and then copy and paste the link into my post?
EDIT: Here's a link to an older YouTube video of my Guzzi 1200 Sport on a really nice road 100 miles or so south of where I live.
