I'll have a full report upon my return, but we are safe and dry in Clinton, TN. Planning on making our last short run to Robbinsville tomorrow. We laid up in Corbin KY at a great little coffe shop for a couple of hours, but had a great and dry afternoon visiting Cumberland Falls. Nice road in and out.

Thanks to The Ferret for his generosity of time and knowledge yesterday. We all had an awesome time--I was not the only one to use that word. More later, with photos, but the consensus was that The Ferret could make a little money guiding motorcycle tours of SW OH and Northern KY. Thanks again for an awesome ride. Smile

You are welcome Matt, I had a great time as well. Just don't go telling everyone where those roads are, I'd like to keep the traffic to a minimum. Your wife rode very well btw, I meant to tell her.

Any more issues with the FJR?

Glad you guys are staying dry. Rained hard here again all night. More rain today. This might be my lowest mileage week in a long time. Good thing I got in some nice easy miles last Sunday Wink

I think it was Enzo who said on another post that it's great (for this Australian at least) to see pictures of the US that aren't the Statue of Liberty or the Golden Gate Bridge.

I'm with the other two Ozzie Mozzies. Great report ferret. It's true, your bikes look great, the technical bits superb, but it's the people and where you are that make posts in this forum special.

Cheers

The FJR guy says "Go F**k yourself". LOL. (we've been giving him crap about it the whole ride, but he brings it on himself--we've had to remind him 4 times to shut off his lights. Even a lady at the coffe shop reminded him to. LOL).
Slayed the Dragon today, btw. Big Grin

First time to the Dragon? How did everyone like it? Now that you've done that you can go ride some of the good roads in the area. Do not miss riding the Cherahola Skyway.

Everyone liked it. It was a great technical exercise for everyone. Cherahala is tomorrow or Thursday. 28 is tomorrow for sure (weather permitting)

Mickey...Cheryl wanted to let you know that she's glad that you thought she rode well, especially since she heard later that you expressed concern to Laura upon your arrival at La Quinta about the abilities of the person riding "that small bike". Don't you know that girls talk? LOL She says that you'll have to make that up to her by leading us on another ride sometime soon. Smile Big Grin

And I'd be glad to lead you/her on more great roads, and then we can stop for some of that great pie!
