Jan 9 CB ride
#1

Last time I rode my CB was last Saturday so today it got a little more love.

Had a couple errands to run before pleasure. First stop gas station where I pumped 3.1 gals of reg in to the CB and dumped in 4 oz of Seafoam. Then it was down to the MC shop for a visit. The owner is having a party at his house tonight so stopped in to check on time etc. Party starts at 7:30. Bengals have first playoff game tonight and play at 8:15. Guess I will be leaving the party early.

Next stop was the UPS store to send some pants my wife got me for Christmas back to LL Bean

the bike looked lonely sitting in the damp parking lot

Errands completed, now I was free to ride and headed east out to the country to Bethel before turning south on St Rt 133 and going thru Felicity following a curvy ridge down to the river

Once I hit the river I turned on Rt 52, the Ohio River Scenic Byway and took it west until I arrived at my little town of New Richmond.

should mention although it rained all day yesterday and it's supposed to snow in the morning it was not raining when I took off and the temp was quite tepid for this time of year..51 degrees. Warm enough that I wore my Fox Creek leather jacket, and deer skin gauntlet gloves..no electrics HA! Also wore my new Olympia blaze vest over top of the leather. it's nice to be able to sswitch the high viz from jacket to jacket. That pink building behind me is the Front Street Café, our one little bistro coffee and gourmet sandwich shop in town. There is a bar or two in town and a McDonalds about a mile up the road. Other than that, it's a pretty desolate little stretch of highway. The next big city on this road is Portsmouth, Ohio about 100 miles east.

There I parked in the street along the flood wall and enjoyed a thermos of hot tea

After that I headed west some more on 52 before hitting curvy 749 which would lead me home

A little detour to ride past my son's house and beep my horn and a opportunity to hit a few more curves before I get home

Beautiful ride, Mr F... I'm glad you got out and enjoyed those nice temps.

Your CB looks great! You do a first rate job of keeping it clean.

Forgive my senior moment here, I've probably asked before, but what wind screen is that? I really like it.

Enjoy the party and the game tonight...

QG that is a National Cycle Street Shield EX with about 7" or so lopped off of it.

Nice ride. The weather certainly has been kind to you.
It's a steady below freezing up here in the northeast.

I have the same windshield...only use it this time of year. I'm curious, what method did you use to lop off the seven inches? I like the look....
