Not to be
15th of July
Leaving home at 1:40 pm I had thoughts of of a run down A440 to Phillip Island a distance of about 235 km and then a ride back home via the hills. The days are short here and on the cool side we had snow down to 300 m this week. My optimism was checked after about 200 km and I thought it best to call it a day and head for home at Leongatha. The low fuel blink commenced so with Mirbo North about 30 km away commenced another climb through the hills very in need for some warmth and a refuel. The warm drink was sourced at the Inline Four Cafe where else on the CB 1100, the couple that run the cafe are originally from Europe and were streaming a European language radio station, was able to decipher with my limited linguistic knowledge that once again France was in the news and it was not for the Tour, a moment for reflection. On the ride down hill back home the mind was subjected to occasionally wanderings. Arrived home at 6:30 pm a 343 km journey with a planned destination that was not to be.
Regards

RE: Not to be
A long motorcycle ride is a great time to ponder. You, alone with the motorcycle, the wind, the curves and your thoughts. Much to ponder about these days.
Have fun, ride safe, treat your fellow man with respect.

What redbirds said: condolences to the people of France. What a terrible tragedy.
The number of murderous idiots in the world is growing.

Not to be
First my thoughts are with the people of France and the Family here in Austin Texas that lost a father and son.
I travel a lot internationally for work and honestly it seems to me the situation is less safe. I can't wait to retire and stop the travel on planes and ride, ride, ride.
