Our freeway message signs are giving a nod to motorcyclists for the next few days, apparently. Thanks, CalTrans!
Hard to see in this pic. It reads "Share the road. Look twice for motorcyclists"

Now if people would only look up from their cell phones long enough to read it and heed the message

Sadly, it might be more effective if they could send a text to drivers of oncoming cars.

Yeah, sadly true. I just ran a quick errand at lunch, and got cut off right before an intersection. I rode up next to the car's driver door at the red light and gave a menacing look. Girl driving didn't even look up from her phone at me.

I used to see that sign on the freeway and did an internal shout-out to CA hwy peeps.
Before I moved to TX, I used to hang out at Sancho's Tacos, in Huntington Beach, PCH and 6th, near the pier. The local gendarme would park one block south and watch traffic, specifically for people on their phone. We'd hear the siren blip, and people would turn onto 6th with the cop right on their tail. They'd get 3 or more every hour.

I'm hanging at Mom's today, and am hearing siren blips. There's a local motor officer pulling over cars one after the other aound the corner from the house.

Sorta want to go ask him what he's pulling people over for, so that maybe I won't be one of his customers next time I come by...Confused

Forethought is forearmed.

A hearty thank you to Bowling, Green Kentucky as well.

After spending a day stuffed in a metal tube to get here, I went for a long walk to stretch my legs. Just saw this electronic sign in front of a building in town.
