How good is the CB 1100?

I haven't had a bike that didn't wear "at the corners" from normal use. Maybe my Aprilia less so. However on the flip-side, electrical and mechanical reliability has been the best on the CB, whereas my Italian horse was glitchy.

I strongly suspect (with no evidence to support it) that Honda buys spokes from third party vendor vs. making them in house. So if a bad batch got through then it would affect a small amount of bikes. Sucks for the owners, but not enough for a recall (e.g. air bag s).

The Africa Twin had corrision problems with one year, may it's a part of that .
