Thanks A-man! Riding farther up the BRP, the mountains of VA and WV are on my bucket list...hope you can join me!

Hope he doesn't become a snooty nosed beemerphile lol
I've learned a lot from this forum and people I've met. I'm sure I'll still use this valuable resource to help my son...hopefully Guth will continue to host it and Ferret and Cormanus moderate it for years to come. I'll always consider myself part of the community, I'll just have to post in "other" category ;-)

I've already advised him everything I've learned about the CB1100 and motorcycling in general since my return to the sport can be found here. He's said he's visited the site...not sure if he's created an account yet, but I'm sure he will!

Well, he came from college just the other day
So much like a man I just had to say
Son, I'm proud of you, can you sit for a while?
He shook his head, and he said with a smile
What I'd really like, dad, is to borrow the car keys
See you later, can I have them please?

I always liked that Cat Stevens Cats in the Cradle song.

Hey offroad, great tune indeed ... from the very late great Harry Chapin (and live version is best).

Well that blows my mind....I thought I for sure remembered Cat Stevens sang it. I even played it for my wife and asked her who sang it and she immediately without hesitation said Cat Stevens too!
But after researching, it appears he never covered it.
Also learned a new phrase "Mandela effect"

Cat Stevens and Harry Chapin are both great folk rock legends.

That sounds Awesome (minus the 3 hour rain). I'm sure you will have those memories to easily go back to and revisit. Curious about the route you took? I work in Chicago and live about 50 miles southwest. I have been looking into riding the Peoria Loop... but Lake Michigan would be cool!
Cheers
