RS-3 for the 2014
#1

Got the RS-3 Slip-On this weekend from mjezek. He met me down in Anaheim at the Honda Center.

It's the 2013 Street Series slip on with the removable baffle. I had to call Yoshimura and order the center-stand bracket for the 2014 to make it work, but it's totally worth it! The Slip on they sell for the 2014 is the Signature Series and you can't remove the baffle... lame. So I lucked out on getting a like new 2013.

The hardest part of the install was the center-stand bracket which is in a very very tight area.. No idea how anyone can check the torque on a space that tight so I just did a turn past snug. Took me over 30 minutes to get the stupid spacers in.

Slip-on went right on! Took less than 10 minutes.

All I can say is wow! it sounds much much better and this took off a ton of weight! I can actually hear the bike now when I ride and even though the slip on is longer than stock it is very thin and overall smaller than the stock's overall monster size and weight. Now this is the oval style and I think it gives the bike a much sportier look. Which this is a sport bike so I really dig how the shinny stainless steel looks. If you're looking for a more vintage cafe style can the Arrow or Staintune may be the ticket but I wasn't about to fork out that much money.

Time will tell if the MPG will change but over all if you are thinking of getting one, just do it haha.

I like the picture too. As if the heavens are shining down upon your bike. I like my RS-3 and may end up keeping it. I'm debating whether to save up for the full Yoshi RSCV. It's a lot of dough to spend just to get the look I'm after. I'm very happy with the bike's current performance. I have the 2014 Signature Series muffler and have no complaints. I can definitely hear my bike while riding and don't want to go too loud. Then again, I haven't heard an RS-3 without the baffle. Maybe I'd really like it!

RS-3 huh? Big Grin
Yea, glad you like it. It definitely adds some soul and a bit of growl to an otherwise fine motorcycle. Heart
I am addicted to winding her up through the gears and listening to her sing. Thumbs Up

The Rs-3 is pretty loud in 1-3rd gear without the baffle and gets super tame at freeway speeds. I love it! My last bike I has a Hard Krome set that was soo friggin loud at highway speeds it gave me a headache. Yosh could definitely improve the center-stand bracket... Seems overkill on how big it is and how hard it is to install.
