Was not any fun on surface streets but ran well on the freeway. I spend the majority of my time on country curvy backroads between 2500-3500 on my CB which is real enjoyable. I love the fact that you dont have to wring the snot out of it to have an enjoyable ride. The nature of liter class in- line 4's.
Im afraid the Mandello is going to be more like the Griso rev/ motor wise than the CB.
Ferret's opinion much aligns with mine on the performance side.
In addition, the comfort on the Griso would have been harder compared to the CB1100 (for me at least) mostly due to the extra lean into the handlebars. I like the more upright, relaxed feel of the CB1100.
I really like the intent of the V100 Mandello, but I fear it too will need to be wringed out a bit more, also like the Guzzi V85TT. I do enjoy the thumping of a lower beat mill - but not the flatline dead heartbeat of a classic HD.
