I was too late to check this out, unfortunately.
On Sunday my son showed me an ad on Craig's List for an estate auction in Kaiser, WV that advertised 400 vintage Hondas! Supposedly all were kept inside over the years and not exposed to the elements.
I really would have liked to have made it over as the wife was out of town and who knows what trouble I could have gotten into.Cool
Sounds like somebody had a fair amount of storage space

I didn't hear about the auction, but I think I know what you're talking about. About a year ago someone sent me a link (which I've since lost) to this guy's blog who explored and photographed the old building where the bikes were kept. As I recall, the owner was a former motorcycle dealer. It was a large two story building and all of the floor space was completely occupied by old bikes (mostly 60s and 70s). Most were covered with years of accumulated dust. Some were damaged when part of the roof had caved in. Many bikes were still in the crate. I seem to recall that they had some auctions earlier this year and that everyone complained about the high prices.

Hold the phone, I just found it. You're looking for Skip's Honda in Keyser, WV. According to the link below, last weekend was the final auction :

If you put Skip's Honda into Google, then click on "images" there are quite a few photos.

Here's an interesting shot of a CX500 turbo, still in the crate :

Sheesh. Those helmets and tires are all but worthless. And just about everything else is in need of severe restoration.

I'm sure there are lots of people who'd be excited by those fixer-uppers, but that's not for me.
