I think it is some sort of a mandated thing up there. i would love to live there if I did not have to go to work in the winter.
this made me laugh...I can relate as this is somewhat like where I live (rural Nova Scotia). And, as Rocky pointed out above- NS is close to Maine as well. Beautiful State-love Maine..

We honeymooned in Maine 25 years ago. We just were talking about taking the bikes up there for a second honeymoon.
