Tell me if this was a Great Deal!

Great deal. My local dealer has a couple 2014 standards for $6999.

Yep, a screaming deal.
I could see someone returning to riding after owning a CB175 back in the late 60s, and getting the nostalgia bug and buying a CB1100.... Taking the new bike out on the highway and suddenly go into some sort of future shock. The highways and traffic certainly aren't like they were back in 1969... Nobody's driving 55 anymore... They're trying to kill us out there... And texting while driving at 85MPH... WTF happened?... Riding's not fun anymore.

Please point us to your dealer. I see a 2014 in Glen Bernie (dealer) for $10,399

there's about 3 new ones listed under $8k.

With Honda's Bonus Bucks @ $1k off/credit...
you can easily get into a brand new 2014 CB1100 for under $7k.

That was the deal I got right about this time last year from a dealer w/ two 2014 stnds. OUT THE DOOR, mine was offered at $6999.00 + $85 dealer's fee.

I'm sure they'll all say the bonus bucks is already figured in at 8K. Some of the ads there state that.

Don't forget a NEW bike at the dealer is plus tax, destination fee, (usually about $350) and set up fee, so another grand on top of the purchase price.

There were dozens of ads on Cycle Trader last year for new leftover '14 DLX's, but unfortunately the bikes didn't actually exist. The takeaway for me was to not expect dealer ads to be current or valid. You need to call them to be sure.

Right now on Cycle Trader there's multiple pages from many dealers that show a grainy photo of a 2017 CB with the icon to "check for price".
Ok, but there's no 2017s yet.
