Wheelie King
#1
Check out below youtube video of the wheelie King.

I knew Doug very well. he was from Michigan. Worked for a Husqvarna dealer by the name of Gene Richie. Gene was the promoter and owner of the Mich. Red Bud Naitonal MX where Nationals were held for years. I rode around the MX track on the back of Dougs Maico, ( while he was doing a wheelie around the entire track, over jumps, up hill, down hills, etc. ) I lost that bet and had to buy dinner. 1976 or 1977

Good memories. Greg

Doug Domokos aka. Wheelie King… rode his Kawasaki up Lombard St on the back wheel and THEN turned around and rode DOWN it also on only the back wheel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNa360R75aw .

I got to watch him at Red Bud a few times as we would travel up there for the national event back in the 70's. Always very entertaining.

The guy was unbelievable. He could wheelie anything for as long as he wanted. Cool stuff.

Watching him at Mid-Ohio in the late 70's, early 80's was a great memory as a 16 year old kid riding my 1979 Yamaha XS 650. Great days!

I can do that on my bicycle!

But I never got the hang of wheelies on the motor. Maybe I'm just chicken 'cause I crashed pretty hard doing an inadvertent wheelie in High School.
