Went for a 50 mile ride tonight among the twisty back roads with a neighbor. He rode his '82 Suzuki GS1100G that he has owned since it was new. Over 100,000 miles and it's still running strong. I've always been impressed with that bike in the 21 years I've lived next to him, he has fone a banged up job keeping it on the road. I'm pretty pleased with the way the CB did on the short trip, plenty of power for this fat old guy!

My neighbor has a 2000 Honda RC51 with over 100k miles on it and it still runs great. It's only had routine maintenance. He doesn't baby it. Does track days plus rides it to work every day.

Gossman, is his Suzuki Black w gold striping? Best looking Suzuki ever and pretty rare. I had it 's chain drive brother an 83 GS 1100E and smaller sibling the 81 GS850G. Both very fine motorcycles.

Yup, black w/gold pinstripe, shaft drive, and a Vetter fairing to match. Even the original seat though he has some obvious home stitching on it. It still has some horses left in it and he's planning on riding it till it disintegrates.

Nice bike! Classic styling. One of the best Suzuki's ever made. Will probably outlast your neighbor.

I learned to ride on my best friend's GS750e with a Kerker pipe and a quarter faring. According to the moto-rags that model was a great seller for 'zuki and probably saved the company after their fling with rotary engines.

A little big for a starter bike, but the thing was virtually indestructible. Would have probably lasted forever but my friend sold it to a careless guy who killed himself on it within a year.
