This choice makes sense, cos the previous police avatar had a missing tooth or two in the upper jaw ROFL[Image: ab6d3a4506f4bb2a8c575d447b07b986.gif]

Yes I have. GO, the Canadian Comedian, appointed me to the Grammar Police and offered up an avatar which I adopted. It was a boring job so I quit after a day or two and went back to being a forum moderator which, I guess, makes me the Fun Police. Call me fickle, but I took on a new avatar. Is it a problem? Should I remove any reference to ‘police’?

It is just a Dream, officier ...

Is she ready to be photographed yet?

Tank is on it's way from Japan (with a huge discount), I hope I didn't fall prey to a bogus website. Does anybody know "japan.webike.net" as being trustworthy ?

Anyway, if all goes well I can install the tank in an hour or two. So if you're a little patient with me I 'll show you a photo in a week or two.

Anyway, if all goes well I can install the tank in an hour or two. So if you're a little patient with me I 'll show you a photo in a week or two.

I visited the site and found the CB1100 area:

https://japan.webike.net/oem_parts/Moto/HONDA/

Clicked on CB1100 but didn't see anything come up under the tab for "fuel tanks". I clicked on the CB1100EX tab and that brings up a number of options for tanks, prices in the $650 (which would be about 350-400 less than Samurider.com offers (although of late they seem to be out tanks on their page; I emailed them and they replied that they could get one for me, but I didn't follow up yet). But the strange for me thing is that japanwebike has no photos of the tanks, just a skew / part number...and no color description.

How did you choose which tank with no color description?

Here's a link from our forums about japanwebike from back in 2015, but not tank related:

http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=4724

And if you haven't googled "japan.webike reviews" that will bring up both positive / negative reviews from different sites...at least they exist from far back as 2015 that I can see.

I was interested in an alt. color tank (because red isn't my favorite) but at around $1000 from Samurider, I started liking red a bit more. But if I could score a silver or blue tank for 650, that would be cool--different colors for different seasons of the year.

If you are having second thoughts, you could call credit card and voice your concerns about the company / your purchase--they may have some advice for you.

I do hope it works our perfectly for you...new tank could give me a winter project, make me look thinner and younger to boot.

I have received everything ever ordered from japan.webike.net, sometimes arriving direct from Tokyo to my front door in less than 48 hours. No damage, no missing parts, build quality good to very good. No complaints. I still order from them.

Longest I waited for a package was two weeks.

Thanks GO, that’s reassuring.
@pded, it is true, no color information at webike. I think the problem is in the Honda part numbers. Each tank’s part number is unique to one combination of color+year built (I know that sounds strange). You have to find the part number before you order from webike. The information Honda dealers have also seems incomplete. I had to call a dealer in the u.k. who found the number for me. Then I ordered. But there is still a small risk that I might receive the wrong color.

Yeah, I remember that flick. A good and clear video. The re-run is as exciting as the first time.

... but it should always be like that when we mount for a ride!
