Battery question
#21
I asked my dealer about leftover bikes and they said they do not put old batteries in bike they deliver. They pull a new OEM Yuasa from parts stock and install that, or one from a just arrived bike. That way no one gets an old battery in a new bike.

Others dealers operate differently. For instance, my 2012 ST1300 sold in 2013 and I bought it from the original owner in 2014. It had a non OEM battery. Was a good one, according to reviews, but still. And failed in 2015.

Where I’m at in SE TX we have summer nine months of the year (at least) and car batteries give out in three years or so it wasn’t too unexpected.

Yesterday was in the 60s and was anxious get my ride in. Hopefully I’m good for a while. Now if I could just retire.....
