Finally happened!

What model was it Bheezy? Most of the HJC helmets are Snell rated which actually surprising considering their cost.

Well I'll be darned. It is Snell rated. Maybe I was looking for ECE (what I just purchased in my Bell). For that price I might just pick this up.

LOVE that wine color Shoei. But alas, Shoei's don't fit my head. I believe HJC(?) has a wine color too that would look superb on the CB but it was only DOT rated and I just don't buy DOT only rated helmets anymore. Got a baby and another on the way. Gotta be as safe as possible.

Well congrats! Absolutely. That’s why I’d like to get a shoei. After looking st a picture of the wine red and the bike side by side I was wondering if the two colors would clash.. what do you think? I was doing some research on getting one of shoeis helmets custom oem paint with maybe some pinstriping like on the tank and on the fairing I’ll be getting. Any idea if that’s illegal or perhaps won’t last long at all? There’s a shop that does some killer work near me but I worry the paint might fail..

About 15 years ago I had an Aria helmet custom painted in the red CBX colors , with stripes . It looked beautiful and the helmet gave me good service for 10 years. They recommend NOT to paint helmets .

I think they would be close enough to work. It's not like they are side by side. I'm usually a blur anyway. Heck I'm gonna find out with the HJC. Will be ordering it next week.

Congrats on the new ride. You're gonna love it. I wasn't immediately enthralled with the CB. Bought it as my "mule", but it just gets better and better.

P.S. I waited around to find a used Comet fairing for sale. Took some time but one finally showed up here. It's a great piece and a worthy addition. I think even at full price it is worth it.
