seat interchangeability

I've been thinking about this and someone mentioned using a CB750 seat in the gel pad discussion below. The question: Would any seats from older CBs fit a 2013 CB1100? Maybe my ass was less bony back then but I swear the seat on my 1980 CB 750F was more comfortable. Anyone out there using a vintage seat on their modern ride?

Because of where the seat rubbers rest, where the seat hooks in at the front and on the sides, and where the seat locking latch is located, I doubt anything else would be even close. I have always just recommended having an upholsterer put an extra inch of foam underneath the stock cover in the front. The stock seat is cut down just for shorter in-seamed riders.
