Members here seem to have owned/ridden quite a few bikes. Anyone with a cb1000 from the mid 90s?
How does that compare to a CB1100 in terms of ride and feel?
Thanks!

I haven’t, but there’s a clean ‘94 listed on Craigslist very close to my office in Costa Mesa. Slightly curious, but doesn’t look that different than what we’re all riding now with the CB1100.

Yes, it’s been there for a while and the price increased...
I wonder how It handles, given that, it’s slightly larger than the cb1100

From memory I recall UK motorbike magazines (pre internet of course) pegged it as well made, overweight, plush and could do with another 20 bhp. Sound familiar? In the UK they were about 90 bhp at the rear wheel. I used to walk past a red/white one parked up near where I worked and thought it looked ‘the dogs do-dahs’. Beautiful. I did see it ridden past a couple of times and our CB1100 sounds nicer, more gruff. Haven’t seen another once since after all these years. Rare machine. I expect our RS version would be very similar TBH in performance terms.
