Sadly, for most of the Kawasaki line card, that has always been the case. Another might say Honda is overpriced. Perspective.

Yes, there is that, then Honda surprise everyone with the low price of the Rebel 1100 and the newly released NT1100. Neither my cup of tea but I have to admire Honda's bold move with those bikes.
Have Honda abandoned the complex and expensive to manufacture in-line 4 now, I wonder?

The days of inline-4 are quickly narrowing. It wouldn't surprise me if they reduce their portfolio to just one offering - yet perfecting it with all their technological might ... and then appending their awesome DCT and a magical final shaft drive.

Almost like a cold quiver up the spine, eh?
But alas, fleeting it is. Honda likely has its sights set elsewhere.
Case in point this week: The announced EV partnership with GM. Honda is determined.

2 years earlier Honda also entered into partnership with "gm" on Hydrogen Fuel Cell vehicles while BMW partnered with Toyota. As predicted by automotive experts, within a few years there will be only a handful Automotive OEM due to high R&D cost of the new technologies.

Well who knows? Maybe it all won't matter. If the current war spreads, EVs won't be a priority because the war machine burns dino and the environment is irrelevant.
Keep at least a small displacement dino-burnin' motorcycle handy.
