I know there are various different posts talking about suspension modifications, but I am asking for a summary on the topic of Ohlins rear shocks because this is what I would like to install on my 2014 Dlx. I have an Ohlins shock on my VFR800 and I really like it. Can you guys who have installed Ohlins shocks on your bike please reply?
1. What model Ohlins shocks did you buy?
2. Where did you purchase them?
3. Are you happy with the Ohlins shocks (any comments are appreciated).
4.Will the Ohlins shocks with the piggy back reservoirs have any installation issues if my bike has a factory, Honda luggage rack?
Thank you.

I sent a email to Ohlins a few months ago just for giggles to see what they had available for the CB1100. IIRC, they have a standard non-reservoir model that was around 1K for the pair. They also can custom build the mack daddy gold remote reservior set for about 2K. Please double check with them and let us know.

I bought my all my Ohlins from Fast Bike Industries in Hendersonville and paid less than $1000 for a set (I think just over $900 cash)
They are non piggy bags as the OEM shocks are non reservoir shocks.
I truly love them and they fit very well , much more compliant ride and great for my back. Call Dave , the owner of the Fast Bike company.

I did order chrome springs for my Ohlins instead of the standard yellow.

Can anyone who's gone through this upgrade go over how they figured out what spring rate to use? Is this something best left to the dealer and you just give them your weight or is this something that you can figure out on your own?

Give the (a good ! ) dealer your weight with the weight of your AGATT if you wear that.
