"Document bag"
#1
The 2014 CB Owner's Manual mentions something about a "document bag" on the underside of the seat for storing things like the Manual, Insurance/Registration info, etc. I have no such bag on my bike... just a slot where I imagine it would go. Did everyone else get one of these bags? Should I call the dealer about it or is it just a silly thing that can easily be improvised with something else?

Barkingshins, on the underside of my seat there's a spot where the service manual is stored in a sealable plastic bag. I guess the owners manual would fit in there too, but I didn't get one of those when I bought the bike second hand.

Here's a pic from the Owner's manual available on the internet.

just get a heavy duty zip lock bag and use that instead. Probably better anyway...

Sorry, mate, I misread the first post. I got a service manual with the bike and it was in a strong ziplock bag. There was no fancy bag.

Do what Barkingshins said. Mine was a kinda cheap bag and I tossed it and replaced it with a better zip lock bag.

A freezer zip lock bag is better than the Honda thin zip lock bag!

I thought same thing, seems like that document "area" under the seat should have a cover or latch over it too, guess I never use mine, I keep registration/insurance paper work in the bin near the battery.

Another gyp from Honda. Crappy tools and no shock adjuster, no document bag, I didn't even get a warranty booklet until I called Honda USA in Cali and asked for it. Those bastards.

I remember this came up last year. The "document bag" is actually the small zip lock bag that holds the owners manual. Honda even has a part # for it! As I recall, somebody on this site actually ordered one, thinking it was something better than the zip lock bag.

I think Honda charges around $3 for it, so take care of the one that came with your bike Big Grin
