Glad you're OK, Guth. I had a couple of close calls on a ride a few weeks ago and had the gopro on:

Dang the first one was on a long straight away. How did that guy not see you? You may have inadvertently been in a blind spot for the second one.

I'm pretty sure the first guy saw me, just continued trying to pass the car in front of him since I was getting out of the way... The other time I was definitely in his blind spot, and had just shifted up so he probably didn't hear me - but it was also in an intersection and he didn't even signal. I was watching but still couldn't believe it!
Oh, and it is easier to hit the turn signal cancel than it is to hit the horn on the '14

Tell me about it. I did it a dozen times or more on my 14 before I put a 13 switch on mine. Haven't made that mistake since.
Someone on here wanted to swap a 13 switch for a 14. Might be something for you to consider.

Would be a good Winter project... I revisited that thread, as well as yours - I'll have to look at it and see if it's within my limited mechanical abilities. I practiced many times hitting the horn since while I was out on the two-laners with no one around, and have decent muscle memory now.

Bravo..do you only have the one bike? If so you can probably get used to it. My issue was I have 3 and the dlx was the odd man out with the horn/turn signal switch placements.

Yeah, I only have 1 at a time - the others in my signature were previous bikes of mine. speaking of which now that the rain has let up, it's time to ride
Just got done using Optiglanz on the headers, need to get out and see them in the sun!
