Yesterday - that he's thinking about his next bike. This surprised me, since he seemed to want the CB pretty badly, but out of the 8,500 miles it's now showing, he's only put on 3 or 4.
So, his next bike's going to be a Gixxer. He had a red and black one back in the day. A 750. It was a beauty. He did love that thing. I had a red and white R1 at the time and we had a lot of fun riding together.
Seeing as he still has no space in his garage, I'm not seeing this happening anytime soon though.
Anyhoo, it appears that the CB will continue staying in my garage. He knows how much I like it and he's been enjoying what I've been doing to it, so I'm pretty sure the title will be heading my way soon.
This is working out pretty good for me, which, may have been his plan all along...

It took you this long to realize what we've all known from the beginning - that CB is yours. Has been from the very start. Haha.

I really like the GSXR 750. I was very close to getting one myself when the right deal came along on the VFR I ended up buying. No regrets on my part but I still think the Suzuki is a heck of a bike.

Yep, i think we all know its been yours from the beginning, traveling half way across the country to pick it up, oh and then maybe I'll just ride it home I'm surprised he has had a chance to put 3 miles on it.

I recently sold a a 2010 GSXR 750, didn't much care for it, the CBR1000RR is much smoother, more comfortable and a great all around bike. The 750 is an all out track bike and likes to be over 6000 rpm's to run smooth, otherwise there is hesitation and throttle response is not smooth.

Edit: sold my 750 in 6 weeks with 1050miles on it for the CBR very poor fuel delivery

I hear you! My plan was to experiment on his, then when he started riding again, get myself a black one and do it up the same.
That said, I can be equally happy with the red one
Said son presented me with a crispy new $100.00 bill today to put in my gas money kitty for the trip.
If all goes well, I'll be leaving B&E Sunday morning and the weather will be great for the week
