Important Stuff... Like Riding

Hey quietguy, you ever rode the Old#9 Road from Comfort to Grapetown and from there to Luckenbach? One of my fav's that's never mentioned in print.

No, I haven't, redbirds... at least not that I'm aware of. Over the past several years I think I've ridden most of the main Hill Country roads. I've ridden to Luckenbach, then on to Bourne. Don't remember the name of the road though, sorry.

Another neat ride is to old Willow Town (but the town's gone). They call it the Willow Circle now. Very scenic during the spring.

Used to commute from Braker Land (in N. Austin) down to UT via I-35 back in the late 80's. Went back for a visit a few years ago and almost didn't recognize the place. Moved to Memphis in '93, where the BBQ is better! (but still miss the Hill country and the Austin music scene)

I moved to north Texas in late 1995, neuro, from southern California - was blessed to have escaped the Los Angeles madness. My favorite place, to visit and to ride, is the Texas Hill Country. I'm planning another ride there come April. My only knowledge of "BBQ" came with my move to Texas. And the best I found was at a little place called Clark's BBQ, in Tioga, Texas - birthplace of Gene Autry. Sadly, Clark's burned to the ground just this past week.

Come on back for a visit... and give a holler if you're up near Sherman. I'll buy you lunch.
