Ok, this is weird. I just realized I have a doppleganger.
And I don't know what his deal is.
Back a few months ago, while perusing the Salvation Army store for some vintage duds to wear on the DGR, I came out to see this Enfield 650 with sidecar in the parking lot. I was in a hurry, so no time to stick around to see who owned it, but it is decked out in a very interesting manner as you can see.
I've started to see this bike riding around the neighborhood around my office when I go for a walk at lunch. The rider is wearing a hi-viz vest. I've never been able to catch him at an opportunity to talk with him.
Just a few minutes ago, walking back to the office, I heard the very familiar note of a CB1100. Turned around, and this guy, same vest, was on a '14 black CB1100. It didn't have a sidecar, but was in about the same shape otherwise, and had a bunch of things bungeed to the back of the bike. Couldn't pull my phone out in time to snap a pic.
So, this guy is in my neighborhood, and has two of the same bikes I have. And, whatever he does with them, they look like they are being used - a lot.
And I don't know what his deal is.
