I looked into a blue tank from Samurider over 2 years ago, but the $1200 something price tag made me start appreciating more the ex red. Perhaps a reputable spray shop could help and be cheaper

The EX (2017 and up) gas task is different from yours (2014/16?). 2017 gas tank is a "Flangeless" design as per HONDA. Also the high pressure fuel hose is of a different design! The ignition key of of the "B" type (Inner groove cut).

This is an exerpt from few emails I received from Mr.T:
"Regarding your question, the 2018 CB1100EX tank can be fitted a 2014 CB1100 and fuel gauge still operate almost normally. According to Honda website, the fuel tank capacity is 16 liters, not 16.8 liter. https://www.honda.co.jp/CB1100/spec/ You don't need to buy a new 2018 fuel pump, but you will need gasket, gas cap and key. The stock 2014 CB1100 handlebar does not interfere the 2018 CB1100EX tank. You are right, the fuel line fitting/locking is different between the 2014 and 2018. It would be perfect to change the parts, but we haven't changed the parts and so far, no problem.. (almost 2 years now)." May provide more info if requested.
