Let me rephrase the fronts were to soft that it jarred very hard. Rears are set mid to firm and are to bouncy ... I'm 240 plus gear and ride fairly hard.

I did a big twisty ride last week and had to pull over to tighten up the front. Waaay to soft and unstable when pushed hard. Especially in downhill corners. Couple turns on the adjustment screws and she's capable. Not great, but capable.
As for the rear I have no problen with the stock springs.
Like someone mentioned earlier I don't think you'll get much gain from a pipe with out doing a full system sans cat.

Running with the rear shocks at "full soft" (i.e. zero preload) but with greater-than-designer-anticipated weight will reduce the rear suspension travel, and thus make the rear more likely to bottom out going over bumps. So for you guys with more meat on your bones, adding some preload may actually smooth the bike out.

I highly recommend an Alaskan Sheepskin Butt Pad (actually product name). Night-and-day distance comfort vs. the stock seat. If I had to do it over again, I'd probably get one big enough to cover the pillion too.
