I'd like to resurrect this thread to provide a post-1st/pre-2nd season update.
This bike is a commuter for me. After purchasing it in April with 2700mi on it, I'm now at 7600mi. 4900mi of riding later I'm very happy with the bike.
I had some nasty vibrations in the throttle grip at +/-4000rpm's. My right hand would go numb. But I messed with the vibration dampner in the bars, just spun it around and moved it in and out and the vibration was gone!
As discussed earlier, I'm running ethanol free unleaded and it's producing a decent rating of around 47mpg. My commute takes me through some rather open roads in the uncrowded, rural SW of the US so I'm on the throttle. Not much in the way of twisties either, just wide open highway.

Looking back through this thread I cant help noticing how much tread I had on the back tire. Well, not anymore!

Thanks to all who chimed in with the tire threads. After reading most of them, I went with the Michelin PR3's 160/60-18 rear 110/80-18 front.

The bike came with a Corbin seat. Although I'm sure it'll be great on road trips, I really don't like being stuck in one riding position. I like to slide back and forth and the classic flat Daytona would work well for me. Also, the corbin is too low. I'm 6'1" and I need a higher seat. There's been a few Daytona's for sale lately I'll jump on the next one!

I picked up some case savers from Jamboa, thx Man! Probably will find the right highway pegs that I can fold in and out...Kirk Out
