So, I'm riding to my Pilates class this afternoon and I have to stop because the school bus in front of me is letting of a couple of kids. A boy and a girl (both about HS age) get off an walk past me. The boy barely notices me, but the girl looks at the bike and says "great bike".
That was a total surprise! Neither of them are in the demographic this bike was aimed at and the girl was the one who made the comment. I know that sounds sexist, but HS girls are not generally interested in motorcycles.

You must ride a red one. Chicks dig it the most.
Also, quite possibly the first published reference of a motorcyclist taking Pilates.

Better get used to all the attention you'll be getting, not only is it red... it's a DLX. She didn't have to be interested in motorcycles to know a classy ride when she sees (and hears) one!!!

Last Saturday when i drove to the baker to get some rolls, i went back to my bike. There was a young mother with her about 2 year old son in his buggy and this boy pointed with his small fingers all the way when they passed me at my bike (it was a sunny morning). So the mother had to stop and give him a chance to look. I accelerated, to make some noise for the child, the sound was smooth and pleasant, so he and the mother laughed at me when i departed.
