The one I had was comfortable, but they are a lot heavier than the stock seat. Shipping prices are killer.

Man, I'm glad I got mine 10 years ago. I think it was a tick over $400 and I had it customized for my butt at the factory.

so, i finally got it, put it on yesterday. had to add 2 washers to the bottom of the mount as it wouldn't grab the latch . but it was as described, basically brand new. so, overall a great deal.

however

im short, and my legs are fine w it, height is great, but it sits me too far back in the seat and my arms are stretched out. so, I'm going to see if i can get comfortable by rolling the bars back another 1.5". If not, in the box it goes and maybe back up for sale. still was a heck of a good deal though

When I had them build mine I had them add extra padding at the rear of the pocket to push me forward because they have the seating position so far back. I was used to sitting just about on top of the tank on the stock seat, so that far back wasn't gonna work for me. I think they added a inch or an inch and a half strip of foam to push it forward and that made enough of a difference for it to be comfortable for me.

yeah, i might get my upholstery guy to look at it. or reach out to corbin. what did they charge you to mod it if you don't mind me asking? keep in mind, i actually like the stock seat.

The modding didn't cost anything. They will customize a seat for you while you wait and it's all the same as if you bought one off the website. I was fortunate enough to live close enough to them at the time to do this.

well, unfortunately wasn't my experience. It just sold so at least I recouped and basically broke even. might get a daytona seat from webike, same $ over all

When I saw your post, I thought I'd offer to sell you my daytona seat and save you a few dollars. My problem is the cost of shipping. How do people find shipping for any kind of reasonable price? If I sell the seat for $100, USPS will charge me $100 to ship it, because of the size of the box. That isn't much of a deal. If I split the cost with the buyer, I still get screwed, but the buyer is at least getting a decent deal. If the buyer pays shipping, his savings are pretty much out the window and he's getting a used seat that might not be as nice as he had hoped. How do businesses ship for less? Is the corporate rate so much cheaper? My daughter has a business, would it be worth it for me to have her get a corporate shipping system? Thanks for any help.

I'd like to get shipping for that price. USPS lists $101 for a box 7"x17"x32" weighing 10lbs, from 85340 to Charleston, SC. The destination may be a little different, but that was just a guess.
