Greetings bikerpipes. I would say that 8400 is too high for a leftover '14, but it might depend on your area. In WA for example, 7000 has been advertised for maybe a year now, one place as low as 6000 recently. But it could be the 8400 is truly "out the door" (as in all taxes, freight, setup) and the other places advertise 7000 but are going to add on the extras--in that case the difference isn't as much. But I believe several members have purchased a '14 standard for right around that 7k figure including everything; I remember one buying at 6, however I don't recall if he mentioned extras. But again, some dealers are not willing to go that low. If you can, write them a check for 7k, and say that's what ya' got.

EDIT...there you go...greekcb beat me to it.

$8400 seems a bit high to me. My brother got a new 2014 two years ago for about $7000 plus sales tax and no prep fees.

If you're willing to share for comparative purposes, was there anything else? Bikerpipes might have everything in that 8400 price--taxes, setup, title and registration, in other words, that was all he paid. But your 5987, did it include sales tax, title and reg?

Oh no problems at all, ok so sale price was 5987. I did have to pay the title fees and setup plus tax in my home state of Illinois. I dont know the exact numbers off hand but 7k total give or take a couple hundred bucks is pretty much what it was about. Now all the stuff i added later accessories wise is a whole other subject lol . I also bought it from Action Powers sports in Waukesha WI. Its funny cuz they've had another 14 on their site(not sure if its still there) but it was around 7k i believe as the sale price, pre fees etc. Just an FYI for anyone in the area interested as you can use me as a price point negotiation tool if they still have it.
Ok just checked, they do have it still but its marked down to 5999. Killer deal for anyone

WOW...

There is a glut of new CB1100 2014 models on the showroom floors in Florida right now....I contacted five dealers, all had advertised prices of $5999 - $6999.....all had OTD prices of $8500 - $8800....now that's some taxes and fees for you!

Yup, to high for what the general market is offering. You should be looking at a general listing in the upper 6K's, however, if you your willing to travel you can find deals below 6K. As a note, you can ask the dealer to contact their Honda sales representative to authorize a manufacture discount ($1000+ in some cases).
