Are there any of the big motorcycle superstores (Cycle Gear, etc) in the general vicinity of the rally location in Berea, KY?
I'm pretty good for gear but I'm always looking for a bargain and I am a sucker for clearance bins/racks.
We don't really have big stores like that here on the east coast, motorcycle wise that is.

Iron Pony, a motorcycle mega store, is near Columbus Ohio is you are coming down that way. There's a Cycle Gear in Centerville Ohio near Dayton if coming down 75. Not sure what is in Kentucky but I bet Stichill knows.

Thanks Ferret.
Both those stores are further west from where I'll be coming from.
I see that Cycle Gear has stores in Louisville, Madison and Knoxville so I'll make a day trip to one of them during the rally.
I've heard Iron Pony mentioned on the forum before, is it worth a visit or even close enough?

It's getting tough for brick and mortar retailers. There used to be a cool store on the north side of Cincinnati called Sport Tour that had a great staff and an excellent collection of hard-to-find items for sport touring. Sadly, they closed. Louisville also had Motorcycle Superstore with an outlet store but they are now closed. Cycle Gear Louisville is probably your best bet.
Iron Pony in Columbus is fantastic. I haven't been there in about four years but I've heard now (as ferret says above) they are a full-fledged multi-brand motorcycle dealer in addition to being a gigantic gear store.

Yep, IP is huge. Embarrassingly fun to shop at. It also pays to patronize the smaller shops as well, though.
