Nice article from Kevin Cameron on the original CB750, CB900 and CB1100:

Good article, thanks for sharing. I had a pit pass at the AMA Superbike race at Laguna Seca in '83 (or '84?) and took a bunch of photos of Freddie Spencer's NR500 and Kenny Robert's TZ750 while wandering about. Lots of other cool photos too. I need to find them.

The CB500 series motor is a great motor. Needs 17 tooth front sprocket gearing but once that is done, great machine. Perfect for backroads and fine for the highway at a smoooth 5000 rpms with an 8k redline. And the bikes are LIGHT. So you can throw any of them around. Race up to that left green arrow, slam on the brakes, get off them and lean her over. Zippity doo da. She goes.

I'm still in break-in but have to agree with everything you said (except I haven't been above 6500 rpm yet).

Hands down much better than the NC700X. This bike is pure unadulterated flat out fun. It's a definite keeper and that great little engine will keep me entertained for years. Honda really hit the mark on this one.
