This is cool. Jake is a great kid with exceptional credentials. Honda needs to get some new energy into WSBK, Kawasaki is cleaning up out there.

Yeah ... this coming year should be an interesting year to watch WSBK, as there are guys from MotoGP joining WSBK and Jake Gagne !
I read somewhere that Suzuki will be back to WSBK in 2018. Not sure if that's reliable info though

Yep, I remember first reading about Jake early this year and he struck me as a rider with an unusual skill set, motocross, mountain biking, road racing; a similar background to many of the top riders in WSBK and MotoGP.
Honda's been doing very well in MotoGP but not so much in WSBK. Looking forward to Jake and company changing that in upcoming seasons.
What's interesting is that Gagne doesn't really have an impressive string of podiums like many up and coming star riders, but the team has seen something in his riding that they feel can be exploited. One does not get signed by Red Bull and Honda without showing that "extra something."
