I'm pretty sure many of you have seen this, but I just found it and wanted to share.

Sure is. I hope I'll still be riding 20, 30, and 40 years from now!

I suspect many of us on the forum are around 50-65 years old. Most still have 20 to 30 years riding in us. I'll be 68 in a couple weeks. I'm still riding a 780 pound touring bike and of course the CB1100, I'm hoping I've got 20 years riding left.

Inspirational. My goal has always been to ride until I am 70 years old. If I get to ride beyond that it would be awesome. I have 4 years to go. So far it feels like I am going to make it. I feel pretty good and I can still ride pretty well. History and heredity in my family says 77 or 78 is about it. Maybe I will beat those odds as well. At 70 it would be 55 years of riding on the street. I have ridden in 40 US states ( lower 48), amd ridden most of the top 15 roads on anybodies list in the country, 2 provinces of Canada, and through 5 countries in Europe..most of that with my wife. I WILL get the other 8 US states I am missing. Been a heck of a life on 2 wheels.

I too have been riding for nearly fifty years and hope to continue for many more. I also find it interesting that those around us who do not or have never ridden a motorcycle just don't understand the attachment and passion we have for our machines.
Like me, I hope you all appreciate the freedom and enjoyment we get to experience!

Still on the path to my goal. Was 66 when this was first posted in 2016. Will turn 69 in 3 months, so 15 months to go. Woohoo. So far still doing pretty good riding wise, and still riding the big bikes. By my age I think my dad had moved down from Harley dressers to a 350 Honda/4 down to a 175 cc Honda twin. He would eventually go down to a Moto Guzzi 125 single before he quit.
Btw I did knock off 2 of the state I was missing, and this year plan to knock off 2 more. THat leaves 4 states on the eastern seaboard to hit when I am 70.
