Hey all,
Someone left a note on my CB1100 when I was at school today (MHCC) to come join this forum (already did in 2015). Will the note writer please stand up?

I think I've seen your bike there a few times over the last few months dating back to last spring...would that be right? I mainly ride / commute on my KLR650 to work, and every now and then the CB1100. I made those cards up in case I'd see your bike and other CB1100s, invite them to join if they already hadn't.
Nice to meet you!

I did, Cormanus. Despite the only thing truly needing replaced being the bars, my insurance totaled it because of the cost to return it to like new.
There were any number of small and tiny scratches that didn’t mar its looks to my eyes, so I bought back the salvage, spent roughly another $1800 to have my mechanic (at the time) put a new tank on her (it had a fair sized dent that I probably could’ve pounded out), replace the amber cover on a rear turn signal that got busted, and replaced the right crankcase cover and clutch cover since those two were pretty badly scratched. Nothing else was needed.
I keep up a regular service schedule on her, I haven’t had a moments problem with her since, and I still absolutely LOVE my bike!

Yeah, I'll get around to those right after the long-sleeved t-shirts, lol. (Sorry guys, but this has been a doozy of a year that I never saw coming.)
