Hmmm...now I am trying to remember where I got the idea it was aluminum.
I just checked specs for 2017 and side covers are listed as aluminum.

No, not out the door--I wish!! I paid $9,850 as the price of the bike (instead of $12,199 msrp). I also paid the factory $380 freight charge (if I am remembering right), a $100 doc fee, plus sales tax and the Ohio cost for a title. I told them I was not interested in paying any "doc" fee but they said management would never waive it. So they cut the price of the bike another $100 to offset it.
