Video is not easy....
#1

Been trying to get a decent POV video on my CB1100, this is a Sony RX100 P&S mounted to handlebar, way to shaky, need to keep working on this.
Example below is in Brandywine Valley, Delaware after rainy night, roads were still wet.

The best results are obtained with helmet mounting, not hard mounting to the bike. The body is a natural shock absorber (as pictured below).Biker

Hi. I had a 'surging' problem when I first started recording. I upgraded to a class 10 SD card, and the difference is amazing - the recording rate (dta transfer) to the SD card you are using appears too low. Try that first.

I agree. That cutting out effect looks like the result of a memory card that can't keep up with the data rate. I have a Canon camera that recommends a minimum of Class 8, but I've found that class 10 is really best if you're recording HD video rates.

Actually I don't see it cutting out on my PC watching via YouTube at 1080P, is there a chance your PC's are not fast enough to watch 1080P smoothly ? :-) Try it at 720 or 480.
I do see the video looks real bad as far as clarity and I think it was made even worse by me letting YouTube "enhance" it for me.
I almost bought a GoPro Silver for 20% off but figured I had too many digital devices around as it is.......drives me crazy.

You're right. I was seeing a pausing, jerky picture when I first started the video. Looks like it was slow data delivery issue from the 'net. Once I let the whole thing load and started from the top, the jerkiness went away.

Had to chuckle..when you pulled away from that stop sign at 1:32 I said " hey, there's somebody that shifts about like I do".

" Use the torque Luke" (followed by deep hollow breath)

I went back and listened, I think because I was starting off from a stop, into a turn, I must have wanted to get in stable( non-torque) gear early so I could concentrate on the corner and taking it smoothly....at least I think so, sounds good :-)
