An extra five pounds of air in the rear tire and another two clicks on the rear suspension and we're golden. Plenty of power. We have the Corbin seat. I love it, but I also commute by bike about three days a week, and it's formed to my posterior. My wife thinks it's too hard after about 45 minutes. I think she needs to ride more
Classic.

However, if you're used to touring bikes, it might be hard to adjust to the amount of wind you will be subjected to on the CB. I have a Puig windscreen, which helps, but you still get fatigued faster than with a full fairing bike. As far as the seat goes, its not bad, I would upgrade if your going to be doing long rides.
The wife lasts one hour each direction. So the tour has to be broken up with other non-riding events along the way.

I would not say you're going to get really significant storage on this bike while carrying a passenger, though plenty of have mounted a full-on 3 box set on theirs.
Either that is some sweet shifting and braking, or the traffic, roads and cager behaviour are magical?

lol! i shift pretty smoothly, it's true, but i can't take credit. i would never have thought it possible for somebody to fall asleep on a motorcycle but my wife can definitely do it. typically, if we're going 2 up somewhere it's going to be some country roads, not the interstate, so there's not really any cager/traffic activity to speak of. 60 miles or so of two lane pavement and pine trees is enough to knock her out. the same thing happens to her behind the wheel of her own car if she drives too long. she suffers from acute road hypnosis.
edit: it's worth mentioning that at about 2500rpms the CB1100 feels almost like an electric bike, so perhaps she wouldn't fall asleep quite as fast on a bigger twin.
