I hope this works. Trying to download a photo on my own. I don't know what I'm doing... so here it goes. Well at least I gave it a shot...
I want to thank everyone that has tried to help me with my attempt at posting pictures. I've written down the information you gave me, and I've tried several times. This technology is for those that are either smarter, or just grew up doing it. I really thought that I could eventually get it done, but I lack the patience and the background to just take stabs in the dark (it's virtually what I'm doing).

When my daughter visits me next week, I will have her put up the pictures I want to post. it's not fair for me to expect others to somehow teach me something that I refused to learn over 15 years ago. Again, thanks for your patience and understanding.

So...why didn't you attempt this in the Photobucket thread you already created? Also, I have to say that I have never seen clearer instructions on how to post photos than the ones presented to you in that thread. Can't really understand what your trouble is, but starting multiple threads about it isn't helping.

Try this... Copy and paste a link to a website...any website (keep it clean) into the Photbucket thread. I have a theory that you are having difficulty with this step. Oh..and do you have a photobucket account set up yet?

Yes, I have the photobucket acct. set up. I copied step by step the information supplied to me. If I knew what I was doing wrong then there would not be a problem. Again, thanks for all your help, but this is one that I will have to pass on. I thought I could do this and I can't. The sooner I move on the better chance I have to try it with a clear head and a renewed outlook.

Don't sweat it Hiram. Some things click for some people yet remain a mystery for others. I'm confident that when your daughter comes over and shows you in person, you'll slap your forehead and exclaim, "Of course! That's what I was doing wrong!" Then we'll wish she never helped you because you'll be posting photos of everything!

when your daughter shows you, write it down step by step, then do it yourself "while she is there" following your written instructions to make sure you can repeat.

Great advice Thumbs Up
In the other thread ferret mentioned that he compiled a 3-ring binder full of notes when he started out.
I did the exact same thing! I still have most of those pages, and even now after more than 20 years, I sometimes refer to them.
There is no shame in making plenty of notes until the process becomes second nature.
I don't mind admitting that, unless I use a particular computer procedure on a regular basis, I often forget exactly how it goes.
Just remember that none of us were born with all this stuff firmly implanted in our brains. We have to learn it - and then try to remember it Big Grin
