The cops had been looking for a white '68 442 ragtop that was reported stolen. Yep, it was my buddy's car. They confiscated it for return to the original owner. I honestly don't remember what happened to my friend in terms of getting the money back from the seller, but somehow I seem to recall that he did.
It's a little shocking to see the rust inside the hood. No matter how well the car was cared for, in time it would still be consumed by oxidation.
It was raining the night of the accident and that metal was exposed to it. That's why it rusted. This was taken about a week after the accident if I recall correctly.

I actually had it towed to my Aunt and Uncles house. It sat there until I finally decided to sell it off instead of part it out. There were A LOT of good expensive parts on the car, it's just that the body and frame were both completely trashed.

MTC is correct. A single image file cannot exceed 250 kBs in size when uploaded directly to the CB1100 database.

While searching for a simple photo resizing app I found one called Image Size which allows you to import a photo from your Photo Albums on your portable device then resize the number of pixels of the image so that the file size doesn't exceed the 250 kB limit for the site. You then just import this reduced size photo straight in to your post on the site. It works very easily and is free.
Oops, I've just discovered that Mr Stichill has already mentioned Image Size.

Please accept my belated thank you, Max, for this post. I use the knowledge you shared each time I make an entry on the CB1100 Forum. Great work. David
