Condensation

Not the first time I've noticed condensation dripping from exhaust pipes.

Seemed odd though the last time I started my bike I noticed a fair amount of dripping from the right exhaust where the header connects to the muffler.
It was in the 40's temperature wise.
None on the left side.

Bike was on its side stand.

Runs fine no issues.

There are two drain holes in the exhaust at the lowest point, to rid the bike of condensation. A lesson learned from earlier upswept pipes that rusted out there due to condensation. They are small, and it's possible one has become blocked. Poke a nail up in there to clean it out. When on the centerstand you should get dripping from both holes. On the side stand, you may only get it on the left due to the angle. I think I have that right, but I have noticed it as well.

Are the 2014 DLX models chrome-plated steel exhaust?

I think all the 4-into-1 CB1100 systems are stainless steel (for sure in Canada).

Aren’t the deluxe pipes double wall to prevent discoloration?

Chync.. Yes the head pipes are doudle walled chrome on the deluxe. The mufflers are standard steel chrome plated.

Awesome..even better. Amazing considering their relatively light weight.

Water is one of the by-products of combustion. Its not unusual to see water coming out of an exhaust until it heats up. I’m sure you see it from car exhausts all the time.

^ +1 and especially when motor vehicle is equipped with catalytic converter

The worst set of pipes I had for corrosion were probably the stock set on the '84 Nighthawk 750 S (CB750SC). They crumpled like potato chips.
