All it takes is time an money, so for those who have enough to spare it's definitely feasible. Those who have even more time and money could take the ferry over to Iran and ride north to the Caspian and mess around Azerbaijan and Georgia, even Turkey, those are some really nice countries for riding. And before you even think about it, I'll tell you - it is safe. Contrary to what media may make you believe, these are countries with some of the most hospitable people you'll ever have a chance to meet, and as far as the bureaucracy goes, as long as your papers are in order and you have an ounce of patience you'll do just fine.

One can live like a king in a cargo shipping container. You, your CB1100, a bucket, some water, food, gas heater, maybe some creature comforts like a blanket.

@Nachodaddy my headlight is an ebay special, no name, I've shared the link for it before somewhere, it's for CB900F Hornet, but it's a perfect fit for our bikes, plug and play, no splicing necessary, and seems so far to be of a very good quality. It is also a huge upgrade to the stock halogen headlight, it works really well.

ThanksThank you, that helps. I will look for your link. Also, thanks for the comments about the Road Comet as I noticed that Samurider does not mention one for the '13, only '14 and up. I will talk to them, but it might still be worth getting, since I may have to modify it some anyway. I also live in a very hot place where we get things done before the sun gets too high. Biker

Nacho, here is the listing for the Road Comet for 2010-13 models: https://www.samurider.com/?p=25153

Even though it says they are out of stock, they are made to order so email Mr. T and ask him about them. contact@samurider.com

Also keep in mine there are 2 models, the RC1 and the RC2. Pick your poison.

Wow! I would gladly get up well before dawn to ride that road at daybreak. That would be unforgettable.

Really appreciate that insight. While some of these places may be too far for me (or shall I rather say, for my butt), not all of them are - starting with Turkey. Keep it coming Branko.
