Anyone remember this fairing? - CB750TOM_imp - 10-27-2013

Back in the day, 1972, CB750.

Anyone remember what this fairing was. Not a Vetter, I believe.

Don't remember the brand, but I bought a Yamaha something-or-other with one like that on it... bar mounted screens were not a good thing in cross winds or high speeds... I took it of immediately. TINK

Thats a Wixom fairing

Wixom was the brand that came to my mind too.

It looks a lot like the classic HD "Batwing" fairing. Not bad looking at all.

We sold lots of them in the mid 70's. The other big seller in a fiberglass handle bar mounted fairing was the Bates. However sales of both paled in comparison to the frame mounted fairing by Vetter.

Believe it or not some people couldn't get used to the fairing staying straight while the handlebars turned, hence they bought the Wixom and Bates.

Pacifico was the other "big" frame mounted fairing company.

We never sold many of the Pacificos.

Me neither. I almost bought one for my KZ550 but it was heavy. Went with the Quicksilver instead.

I had a Vetter Rooster handlebar mounted fairing on my '78 CB 400 T Hawk. I had a Blaupunkt 2002 and Kriket speakers in it about 1980 or 81.
