Thread size and pitch of our oil filer caps. - kmoney_imp - 01-26-2016

Looking to add one of those little oil temperature thermometers to the bike (just for looks, as I know the accuracy of these has been debated on here) and wondering if anyone know what the thread pitch and size of our oil caps is.

I've measured it with calipers to be close to M18 x 2.5, but don't have a thread gauge that big to actually confirm this is correct. Thanks in advance for any help.

Try PMing ZRXman01. He makes the Knurl me cap replacement that he sells in the for sale section. So he should know!

Haha. I though of that, but I just hate to ask people for help to buy what's essentially a form of their competition.

I may just end up buying one of his caps, as I've eyed them for probably a year.
