Vetter Fairing - husky385_imp - 02-24-2016 Finally able to get a mount made. It's made from two different mounts the upper part is from a Yamaha or Suzuki. The lower two pieces are from a late 70's CB750. The reason for three pieces was to work around the oil cooler. Kevin RE: Vetter Fairing - Carguy1959_imp - 02-24-2016 Glad to see another modern CB with a vintage fairing. Looks like it fits good. The windshield and forks have the same angle like they where designed to. RE: Vetter Fairing - gossman_imp - 02-24-2016 How does it handle with the weight on the forks? Seems like these models aren't as load bearing as the originals. RE: Vetter Fairing - Lord Popgun - 02-24-2016 Sure looks good! RE: Vetter Fairing - Hittheroad_imp - 02-25-2016 Man, that looks good! You got me thinking now! RE: Vetter Fairing - husky385_imp - 02-25-2016 (02-24-2016, 04:28 PM)gossman_imp Wrote: How does it handle with the weight on the forks? I imagine a Ricky racer would notice the added weight. Kevin RE: Vetter Fairing - Carguy1959_imp - 02-25-2016 These fairings mount to the frame, better weight distribution. They also weigh less than 30 pounds. RE: Vetter Fairing - husky385_imp - 02-25-2016 (02-25-2016, 10:35 AM)Carguy1959_imp Wrote: These fairings mount to the frame, better weight distribution. Same conditions I always ride streets, curvy paved back roads and some highway. I sure hope it isn't a coincidence. ![]() Kevin RE: Vetter Fairing - Ron in MO_imp - 02-27-2016 Wow! Looks like it was made for the CB1100. I think your work will start a new trend for CB owners wanting a retro touring screen. Nice work! Did you take any pictures of the mounts before the fairing was put on? It would be nice to see how it all bolted on.
